Now according to The Advocate’s Neal Broverman, Northeastern University will no longer allow anti-gay Chick-Fil-A at its newly renovated student center. Not surprising since the student government recently passed a resolution, 31 to 5, to oppose the Atlanta-based fast-food chain from doing business on their campus.
And there’s a reason for this: Chick-Fil-A’s WinShape foundation has donated millions of dollars to organizations that would very much like to push LGBT men and women everywhere back into the closet, such as the Eagle Forum, the Marriage and Family Legacy Fund, and the Family Research Council, among others.
In a statement released Wednesday, college spokeswoman Renata Nyul defended Northeastern’s decision to cancel its pending contract with the chicken murderers: “We are proud of the decision that affirms our university’s commitment to be an inclusive, diverse community that is respectful of all.”
Now, could someone please explain to the homophobic cows below what this all means exactly?
