Brad Pitt Reveals He May Not Be Able To Hold Marriage Promise

So in the latest issue of the Hollywood Reporter, Brad Pitt revealed that he is receiving serious pressure from his children to marry his partner of 7 year, Angelina Jolie.  Pitt & Jolie made a public statement several years ago stating that they would not marry until it everyone was allowed to marry.  Here is his statement to the Reporter when asked if he would ever marry Angelina;

“We’d actually like to,” Pitt says, “and it seems to mean more and more to our kids. We made this declaration some time ago that we weren’t going to do it till everyone can. But I don’t think we’ll be able to hold out.”


“It means so much to my kids, and they ask a lot,” continued Brad. “And it means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment.”

So has he asked Jolie to marry him?

“I’m not going to go any further…But to be in love with someone and be raising a family with someone and want to make that commitment and not be able to is ludicrous, just ludicrous.”

And the blogosphere erupts in all out cries of BLASPHEMY!! Seriously? Brad and Angelina have been huge supporters of the LGBT community for years.  They now have a family the size of a basketball team and have shown the world that two people can enter into a serious, loving, and stable relationship, and in Hollywood that is doing practically the impossible.  I think if the children are now wanting a wedding, I feel that Brad and Angelina should get married.  Honestly, we know how they feel in regard to marriage equality and human rights, let them get married and lets wish them all the best!
