In an upset anti-gay republicant, Ed Turner defeated assemblyman, David Weprin in the race for the seat vacated by Anthony Weiner. Via news stories it appears that everyone is trying to take credit for this victory. We have the republicants who hate Obama and say that this is a sign of things to come in 2012. We have the religious wingnuts who are taking credit for it and saying that it is a wake up call for those who voted for the same-sex marriage rights in New York. We have the Jews who are taking credit for the win, saying that they elected Turner because they believe that Obama has abandoned Isreal. We have Hollywood taking credit for the win because they say they need new material now that the Toy Story and Shrek cartoon story lines are done.
