The Morning News -- Putting The Day Of Phobia In Homo

On April 20th, 2012, students at more than 8,000 middle schools, high schools and universities across the country will take a vow of silence to help raise awareness of antigay bullying.

At the same time, however, quite a few students of the chastity-ring-wearing persuasion (with much help from the Alliance Defense Fund's legal team) will take a vow of homophobic hoo-ha to celebrate the Day of Truth—a day that values religious sanctimony over a do-unto-others-as-you-would-have-others-do-unto-you type of mindset.

Listen to this, courtesy of the Alliance Defense Fund’s website:

“The Day of Truth was established to counter the promotion of the homosexual agenda and express an opposing viewpoint from a Christian perspective.

“In the past, students who have attempted to speak against the promotion of the homosexual agenda have been censored or, in some cases, punished for their beliefs. It is important that students stand up for their First Amendment right to hear and speak the Truth about human sexuality in order to protect that freedom for future generations. The Day of Truth provides an opportunity to publicly exercise our free speech rights.”

In other words, antigay bullying is perfectly okay—especially on April 20th— as long as it operates under God’s homophobic will no matter how thoughtless or arbitrary it may seem. Praise the lord, whose words come to us thanks to the blond-headed woman below. (video via Joe. My. God)
