On Valentine's day, last year, GeteEQUAL TX and Marriage Equality USA (MUESA) worked together throughout the state of Texas to further the message of Marriage Equality.
Same-gender couples throughout the state of Texas, went to the marriage counters to request their licenses to marry. In each case, they were turned away (as expected) but, we promised to be back every year until the answer was yes.
Here are a list of the events and actions which are taking place throughout Texas for Valentine's day. Please be sure to share this page with your friends so that they can get involved as well. Not only does the community need same-gender couples to join in these actions but, as many allies and believers in marriage equality as possible should attend.
There is more information with a list of cities and organizations on how to get involved. Unfortunately, the hubby and I do not live in any of the cities listed, but would definitely be there if I could!! If your in Texas, pass this info on!!!
