Good Morning Everyone!!

Good morning everyone and shhhhhhhh  .. this morning your Auntie Rainbow is a little hung!!  We had a few too many libations while at the before/during/after hours parties yesterday.  I shall try to recount my yesterday for you thru this head throbbing haze!  (Takes another very large gulp of coffee)  The hubby and I went to the "match" ceremony and although he did not get our #1 choice for residency, he was chosen by our #2. A cause for celebration and a large glass of champagne.  The luncheon and awards ceremony then started.  I was served something that at one time had I believed been a chicken, however after its demise I am not quite sure what they did to it.  So I skipped the entree and just settled for the wine.  OOOH, the hubby was honored with this years "Humanitarian" award for his work at the Veteran's Hospital and the paper that he wrote recounting his time and effort with a particular soldier.  The outcome was not good and my hubby's recount of his time spent with this brave man who fought so vigilantly during the Vietnam War is a very moving and poignant piece.  I was so proud of him and now  more wine & champagne to celebrate!!!  We stopped back by home for an hour or so to change clothes and then off to friends house for pre-dinner cocktails.  Most of the graduating students went to a dinner hosted by the Dean, however the hubby decided that the two of us would go to a nice restaurant and spend/celebrate this time together.  Dinner was wonderful and so were the "during" dinner cocktails.  Back home for one last costume change and then off to the after party where the bar was open and I did /was given shots that I don't even know what was in them...I do remember one called a "Red Headed Slut" and it supposedly had jaeger in it.  The hubby has just reminded me that when I was told about the ingredients in the aforementioned shot....I loudly proclaimed to a bar full of graduating students and faculty ....Jaeger makes me naked!!!!  ooooohhhh   my head!  Anywho, to sum up, yesterday was a wonderful blur and this morning is a throbbing reminder!  LOL
